Central Global to be reclassified


PETALING JAYA: Central Global Bhd will be reclassified under the construction sector and construction sub-sector of Bursa Malaysia effective Jan 12.

The company is currently classified under the industrial products and services sector and packaging materials sub-sector.

In a statement, Bursa said the stock number and stock short name for Central Global will remain unchanged.

The reclassification was made at the company’s request based on changes in business activities and the contribution of its core business to financial results, Bursa added.

For its first quarter ended Sept 30, 2025, its net profit surged to RM1.22mil from RM73,000 in the previous corresponding quarter, while revenue grew to RM50.14mil from RM34.20mil a year earlier.
