Protasco unit inks interim agreement for maintenance of Federal roads


PETALING JAYA: Protasco Bhd said its subsidiary Roadcare (M) Sdn Bhd has entered into an interim agreement with the Malaysian government for the maintenance of the Federal roads within the Central – Eastern Regions comprising the states of Selangor, Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Protasco noted the interim agreement comes ahead of a final decision by the Government of Malaysia on selecting a company to provide the maintenance works under a new concession agreement.

The interim agreement is to ensure continuity of the maintenance works and shall be in force for a period of 12 months commencing from Feb 17, 2026 till Feb 16, 2027.

Protasco added its concession agreement for the maintenance of the Federal roads in the states is set to expire on Feb 16, 2026.
