KUALA LUMPUR: Binastra Atlantic Sdn Bhd has accepted three contracts for engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) for the development of large scale solar plant (LSS5) from Maya Jaya Sdn Bhd valued at a combined RM171.72mil.
Binastra Atlantic is a special purpose vehicle owned by a consortium between Binastra Green Energy Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Binastra Corporation Bhd, and Atlantic Blue Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Solarvest Holdings Bhd
Binastra Green holds a 51% equity interest in BInastra Atlantic, while Atlantic Blue holds the remaining 49%.
Under the collaboration, Binastra will oversee project funding and provide strategic oversight, while Solarvest will lead the technical execution of the Projects.
According to a joint statement by the members of the consortium, the works shall be located in two sites - in Kuala Langat, Selangor, and Kuala Muda, Kedah.
It said the contracts shall commence on Dec 15, 2025, and achieve commercial operation on June 26, 2027.
