Yinson raises RM1.18bil via dual-tranche sukuk issuance


KUALA LUMPUR: Yinson Holdings Bhd has issued a RM1.175bil dual-tranche sukuk wakalah under its newly established sukuk wakalah Programme.

In a statement, Yinson said the first issuance, completed on Dec 12 comprised five-year and seven-year tranches carrying periodic distribution rates of 5.00% and 5.20%, respectively.

The programme was lodged with the Securities Commission on Nov 5 under the lodge and launch framework.

The sukuk wakalah programme has been assigned ratings of A+(is) by MARC Ratings Bhd and A1 by RAM Rating Services Bhd.

Yinson said the programme allows for the issuance of senior and rated sukuk, with flexibility for the group to issue sustainability or sustainability-linked sukuk in the future.

The group said proceeds from the issuance will be used to finance capital expenditure, working capital and general corporate purposes of the group, refinance existing borrowings, and defray costs related to the establishment of the programme and issuance of the sukuk.

CIMB Investment Bank Bhd and HSBC Amanah Malaysia Bhd acted as joint principal advisers and joint lead arrangers for the programme.

Affin Hwang Investment Bank Bhd, CIMB Investment Bank and HSBC Amanah served as joint lead managers for the first issuance.
