KUALA LUMPUR: Bank Islam Malaysia Bhd has extended the final day of service for its group chief executive officer (GCEO), Datuk Mohd Muazzam Mohamed, to Dec 31, 2025.

“The extension is to ensure smooth leadership transition and operational continuity,” the bank said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

In October, Bank Islam said Mohd Muazzam would step down as GCEO after 10 years with the group.

His resignation was originally scheduled to take effect on Jan 7, 2026, with Dec 12, 2025 set as his last working day.
