IOIPG launches industrial park in Banting

PETALING JAYA: IOI Properties Group Bhd (IOIPG) yesterday launched its 130.31-ha IOI Industrial Park @ Banting, signifying its progress to advance its industrial segment strategy.

In a statement yesterday, IOIPG chief operating officer for property development (Malaysia) Teh Chin Guan said the launch is a key move to meet rising demand for green industrial properties across the country.

“The IOI Industrial Park @ Banting is targeted to contribute about RM1.8bil in gross development value over the next five years to the group’s industrial segment,” Teh said at the launch of the 12,000 sq ft IOI Galleria, a purpose-built sales gallery.

Teh said the interest in green industrial investments has risen, and its first GreenRE-certified industrial park, expected to be completed in two years, comprises 103 factory units of various types in phase one.

This includes detached factories, semi-detached factories, and cluster factories.
