KUALA LUMPUR: Two Malaysian companies, Dodo Ventures Sdn Bhd and Green Environmental Engineering Sdn Bhd, were recognised at the Emerging Enterprise Awards 2025 in Singapore.

In a statement, OCBC said seven companies from Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong received top accolades at the awards, which are jointly organised by Singapore’s The Business Times and OCBC Group.

Dodo Ventures received the Emerging Enterprise Award, which acknowledges companies that demonstrate an enterprising mindset, strong and sustainable growth, solid business performance and the capability to scale and expand internationally.

Green Environmental Engineering won the Emerging Enterprise Sustainability Award. The award recognises companies that are tapping into opportunities in the growing green economy and showing leadership in sustainable business practices.

OCBC Bank (M) Bhd chief executive officer Tan Chor Sen said the awards aim to showcase the vivid entrepreneurial spirit of young companies under 10 years old that have pushed boundaries and gone the distance.

“The Emerging Enterprise Awards recognises those who demonstrate this enterprising mindset, achieving significant and sustainable growth, resulting in excellent business performance; and display the ability to scale and expand overseas.

“My heartiest congratulations to the Malaysian winners for having done Malaysia proud - Dodo Ventures, Green Environmental Engineering and five other Malaysian companies who made it as finalists. Your entrepreneurial spirit and grit to strive for greater heights are truly remarkable.

“As the bank that continues to enable aspirations, we look forward to your flourishing growth in the years to come,” Tan said.

Launched in 2008 and now in its 18th year, the EE Awards is an annual programme that honours the bold ambitions of emerging enterprises across the region. The awards celebrate innovation, resilience and business excellence among companies less than a decade old.

Close to 600 applications were received this year from a wide mix of industries, with more than a third coming from Hong Kong, Indonesia and Malaysia. A total of 30 companies were shortlisted as finalists.

Seven Malaysian companies were among this year’s finalists. Besides the two winners, Cobbler Sdn Bhd and Tommac Sdn Bhd were shortlisted for the Emerging Enterprise Sustainability Award, while Alps Global Holding Berhad, Future Food Sdn Bhd and Good Foodie Media Sdn Bhd were finalists for the Emerging Enterprise Award.
