Asian Pac CEO resigns


PETALING JAYA: Asian Pac Holdings Bhd’s chief executive officer Chai Yee Choong has resigned with immediate effect to pursue other opportunities.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the property development firm said Chai, 54, has also resigned as a director of the company.

According to the group’s annual report, Chai joined the company’s board as an independent non-executive director on June 1, 2022.

He was also appointed as a member of the nomination committee and remuneration committee on July 12, 2022.

“Later, on Feb 28, 2023, he became a member of the audit and risk management committee (ARMC) and was re-designated as chairman effective March 15, 2023.

“Chai assumed the role of chief executive officer of the group on Feb 2, 2024. Upon this appointment, he stepped down from his positions as chairman of the ARMC and as a member of both the nomination committee and remuneration committee.”
