PETALING JAYA: AWC Bhd has received a letter of acceptance from the Housing & Development Board of Singapore (HDB) for the design, build and operation of a pneumatic waste conveyance system (PWCS) at Project EW & FM in Singapore, worth RM14.8mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the engineering services firm said the project will consist of two phases.

For Phase 1 (Project EW), AWC said Part A (design works) to take 12 months from the date of commencement, while Part B (construction works) to take 24 months.

For Phase 2 (Project FM), AWC said Part A (design works) to take 12 months from the date of commencement, while Part B (construction works) to take 24 months.

“Works for each phase will commence upon instructions issued by HDB in writing.

“The group does not foresee any exceptional risks other than normal operational and execution risks associated with a PWCS project of this nature.”

The group said it had extensive experience delivering similar PWCS systems for multiple HDB developments across Singapore.

“This win not only further broadens our market share in Singapore but also gives us good earnings visibility for the coming years.

“With this, our cumulative major contract wins in FY26 are now at approximately RM270mil. In FY25, around 22% of our revenue from the environment division was recurring in nature,” AWC group chief executive officer/president Datuk Ahmad Kabeer Mohamed Nagoor said.
