Ringgit rebounds as weak US data, Fed uncertainty weigh on greenback


KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit rebounded to close higher on Tuesday as weaker US economic data and uncertainty over the US Federal Reserve's (Fed) next monetary policy move weighed on the greenback.

At 6 pm, the ringgit climbed to 4.1950/1985 against the US dollar from Monday’s close of 4.1980/2025.
