Malaysia showcases green rubber, advanced plastics at K 2025 in Germany


Polyplas Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Ge-Shen Corporation Berhad, highlighting its comprehensive one-stop manufacturing capabilities, spanning plastic injection moulding, printed circuit board assembly (PCBA), compression moulding and final assembly. MALAYSIA made a notable impact at K 2025, the world’s leading trade fair for plastics and rubber, held from Oct 8 to 15 in Düsseldorf.

A total of 12 Malaysian companies and 30 representatives, led by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade), participated in the event—demonstrating the nation’s continued commitment to innovation, quality and sustainability on the global stage. Celebrating its 71st anniversary, the fair gathered over 3,000 exhibitors and 225,000 visitors.

Under the theme “The Power of Plastics! Green, Smart, Responsible,” Malaysian exhibitors highlighted acrylic products, flexible packaging materials and sustainable innovations such as biodegradable, compostable and recycled-content resins. Malaysia’s participation reflects its strengths in innovation and sustainability, with companies focusing on waste reduction, adherence to environmental standards and supporting global clients in achieving greener manufacturing goals.
