Steel Hawk's unit secures RM61mil contract from Sega Elektrik

KUALA LUMPUR: Steel Hawk Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary Steel Hawk Engineering Sdn Bhd has secured eight contracts worth a total of RM60.97 million from Sega Elektrik Sdn Bhd.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the engineering company said the contracts were awarded on Oct 23, 2025.

It said Sega Elektrik has appointed Steel Hawk Engineering as a subcontractor for the installation, testing and commissioning of 415 volts and below for underground cables, overhead systems, jointing and termination, as well as related accessories for Tenaga Nasional Bhd’s asset development distribution network division.

It said the contracts, which collectively run for one year from Oct 23, 2025, to Oct 22, 2026, also include an option for a one-year extension.

"The contracts are expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2025, and will not affect the share capital and shareholding structure of the company,” it said.

The company added that the contracts do not expose the group to any new risks, as Steel Hawk Engineering is already involved in similar service segments, and none of the directors or major shareholders have any interest in the contracts. - Bernama
