KUALA LUMPUR: Eversendai Offshore has announced the commencement of fabrication works for the LanWin2 project, which took place on Sept 18, 2025, at its waterfront facility in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates.
In May, Evernsedai announced it had secured a contract from Spain's Dragados Offshore to fabricate structural steel for offshore converter topside blocks for the LanWin2, BalWin3 and LanWin4 offshore grid connection projects in Germany.
These grid connection systems are part of TenneT’s 2GW programme, which aims to double current offshore transmission capacity and support the transition to green energy in Germany, the Netherlands and Europe.
"This key milestone event marks the commencement of manufacturing of steel blocks for east side as part
of German renewable energy transition," said Eversendai in a statement.
