Zecon unit executes 30-year PPA with Sesco


KUALA LUMPUR: Zecon Bhd's subsidiary Zecon Renewables (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd has executed its power purchase agreement (PPA) with Syarikat Sesco Bhd.

Under the terms of the PPA, Zecon Renewables will design, construct, own, operate and maintain a solar photovoltaic energy generating  facility with a capacity of 100MWac in Kota Petra Green Technology Park, Kuching.

Zecon Renewables will sell and deliver to Sesco the net electrical output generated by the facility for a period of 30 years from the proposed commercial operation date in December 2027.

The PPA is expected to contribute positively to the future earnings of the Zecon group from the commencement of commercial operations of the facility, it said in a bourse filing.
