AGX wins logistics deals with Vietnam’s new Sun PhuQuoc Airways


PETALING JAYA: AGX Group Bhd subsidiary in Vietnam (AGX Vietnam) has secured a service agreement for cargo forwarding and transportation and a customs brokerage service agreement from Sun PhuQuoc Airways, the newly launched airline under Sun Group.

The agreements will see AGX Vietnam provide end-to-end aerospace logistics support, including the handling of critical aircraft on ground shipments services to Sun PhuQuoc.

On Oct 15 Sun Group officially launched Sun PhuQuoc at Hanoi, introducing Vietnam’s first “resort airline” model designed to enhance connectivity between Phu Quoc and international markets.

The airline’s entry is expected to drive greater flight and cargo activity in the region. Sun PhuQuoc will begin operations with a Airbus A321 aircraft and plans to grow its fleet to 25 aircraft by the end of 2026 and up to 35 aircraft by 2027.

The airline's debut takes place as Phu Quoc International Airport continues to grow and the island is designated as a special administrative zone under An Giang Province, which was selected to host Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) 2027.
