GEORGE TOWN: Mah Sing Group Bhd’s latest freehold high-rise mixed development in Batu Maung, M Zenni, has achieved a 70 per cent take-up rate to date, reflecting strong market demand for quality homes in Penang.

Group chief executive officer Datuk Voon Tin Yow said M Zenni represents Mah Sing’s continued confidence in Penang’s growth potential and reflects the group’s commitment to sustainable, value-driven developments.

He said Mah Sing has enjoyed successful launches in Penang and is confident that M Zenni will resonate strongly with the market.

"What makes this even more special is that M Zenni is on track to be our first project in Penang to achieve GreenRE Gold certification upon completion,” he said in his speech at the grand opening of the M Zenni Sales Gallery here today.

Penang State Executive Councillor for Housing and Environment Datuk Seri S. Sundarajoo officiated the opening ceremony.

Voon said the project integrates a range of innovative sustainable features, including solar panels, automated waste collection systems, energy-efficient fittings, and extensive green landscaping aimed at reducing the carbon footprint while promoting a vibrant, eco-friendly community.

With a gross development value of RM309 million, M Zenni comprises 10 commercial shop lots and a 33-storey serviced apartment tower offering three layout types: studio and 1+1-bedroom at 688 square feet (sq ft); three-bedroom (958 sq ft); and four-bedroom (1,184 sq ft), with prices starting from RM480,000.

Voon added that Penang’s ongoing transformation, including the Penang Silicon Island project, the Penang International Airport expansion, and the upcoming Mutiara Line LRT, will spur job creation and sustain housing demand.

Strategically located at the gateway to the Penang Second Bridge, M Zenni offers a blend of urban convenience and natural tranquillity, targeting first-time homebuyers, professionals, and young families seeking modern, sustainable living.

The project is slated for completion in the fourth quarter of 2029. - Bernama
