ASM 3 declares 4.75 sen income distribution

PETALING JAYA: Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd (ASNB), the wholly-owned unit trust arm of Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB), has declared an income distribution of 4.75 sen per unit for its fixed price fund, Amanah Saham Malaysia 3 (ASM 3), for the financial year ending Sept 30.

In a statement, PNB said ASM 3 declared a total income distribution of RM896.01mil, benefitting 717,446 unitholders holding 19.16 billion units.

It noted that the distribution of 4.75 sen per unit matches last year’s payout, underscoring the fund’s consistency and reinforcing investor confidence in its stability and performance.

“The fund also outperformed its benchmark Maybank 12-month fixed deposit return of 2.4% by 235 basis points for the financial year to date up to Sept 24.

“This strong result stands out amid a challenging domestic market, with the FBM KLCI still negative year-to-date,” it said.

It added that despite market volatility, ASM 3 remained resilient and delivered consistent returns, underscoring the fund’s strength and reliability in navigating uncertain conditions.

“The income for ASM 3 is derived from realised gains, dividend income and other sources of income from both domestic and international investments.

“ASM 3 has delivered commendable gains for unitholders this financial year, reflecting the strength of PNB’s disciplined investment approach and long-term strategy,” it said. — Bernama
