THE government’s plan to build one million affordable homes for middle- and lower-income families under the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP) is a well-intentioned one – but the devil is in the details.
Since this is a government-led initiative, there is less risk of a price mismatch, unlike private sector-led property projects, which are often above the affordable range of RM300,000 and below.
