NIGHT-TIME dining, shopping and travel are thriving across China this summer, injecting fresh momentum to economic growth at a time when the country has earmarked consumption as its top priority this year.

The market size of China’s night-time economy has so far surpassed 50 trillion yuan (US$7 trillion), says marketing consultancy Zhiyanzhan.
