KUALA LUMPUR: MBSB Bank Bhd has rolled out its new Global Easy Transfer (GET) service, powered by international fintech giant Wise, promising Malaysians faster, more secure and seamless cross-border money transfers.

GET is a global remittance service in partnership with Wise, integrated within MBSB’s M Journey app offering competitive exchange rates and transparent fees when sending money abroad.

The collaboration underpins MBSB’s push to become a modern, digital-first Islamic bank, delivering practical and inclusive solutions aligned with the way Malaysians live, work and connect globally.

In addition, it aims to address long-standing frustrations for Malaysians, from hidden fees and unclear exchange rates to slow delivery times and the lack of transfer visibility.

MBSB group chairman Wan Kamaruzaman Wan Ahmad said: “Every year, Malaysians send billions of ringgit abroad. Hence, we are making banking easier, smarter and more relevant to Malaysians everywhere. It gives customers greater confidence when managing cross-border needs”.

GET provides customers with real-time tracking, transparent pricing, instant or same day delivery, transaction of RM100,000 daily and zero transfer fees during the introductory phase.

Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo, who was also at the event, said: Technology has changed and it’s changing very quickly. What stands out most is the immense potential it holds to empower people and businesses alike.”
