KUALA LUMPUR: Berjaya Corp
Bhd (BCorp), which posted a wider loss in the fourth quarter ended June 30, 2025 (4Q25), remains cautiously optimistic that its business operations will deliver a satisfactory performance for the financial year ending June 30, 2026 (FY26).
“The performance of the domestic business segments of the Group is expected to improve on the back of strong consumer spending and improvement in tourism activities.
“As for the number forecast operators (NFOs) business, it is expected to continue to deliver growth in line with the popularity of its Jackpot and Digit games and continues its lead in terms of market share in the legalised NFO business sector,” the conglomerate said in the notes accompanying its financial results.
In 4Q25, BCorp’s net loss widened to RM207.2mil, or 3.55 sen per share, from RM152.5mil, or 2.61 sen a year earlier, dragged by non-cash impairments on non-performing assets.
Quarterly revenue slipped 3.8% to RM2.37bil from RM2.46bil mainly due to lower contributions from the retail, services and property segments.
For FY25, BCorp posted a net loss of RM556.1mil compared with a net profit of RM410.4mil in FY24, while revenue fell to RM9.34bil from RM10.1bil.
