Alliance Bank focusing on gaining market share

Kenanga Research said the bank continues to place strong emphasis on the small and medium enterprise segment as a key focus area.

PETALING JAYA: Alliance Bank Malaysia Bhd, which posted a 13% year-on-year rise in profit for the first quarter of its financial year ending March 31, 2026 (1Q26) is flagging potential downside risks to net interest margins (NIMs), analysts say.

This comes amid its strategy to remain competitively priced to gain market share, coupled with a higher proportion of fixed deposits.
