TNG eWallet QR scan expands beyond payments

KUALA LUMPUR: TNG Digital Sdn Bhd today announced an upgraded quick response (QR) scanning feature for TNG eWallet that extends the app’s use beyond payments.

In a statement, it said users can now scan menus, forms, tickets and other non-payment QR codes directly within TNG eWallet, eliminating the need for separate QR scanning apps and making everyday tasks faster and more convenient.

"The expanded QR capability complements TNG eWallet’s broad suite of financial and lifestyle services, including e-commerce, bill payments, investments, insurance and international remittances.

"This all-in-one approach strengthens its role as a trusted digital companion for Malaysians across all walks of life," it said.

TNG Digital chief executive officer Alan Ni said TNG eWallet is not just making payments easier but also making everyday life more connected and convenient by enabling users to scan any QR code anytime and anywhere.

"It may seem like a small step, but its impact is significant - one app that helps Malaysians do more in their day-to-day lives,” he added. - Bernama
