SD Guthrie appoints Mohd Haris Mohd Arshad as deputy group MD


KUALA LUMPUR: SD Guthrie Bhd has appointed Mohd Haris Mohd Arshad as its deputy group managing director, effective Sept 1, 2025.

Mohd Haris, who joined the group in 2014 as its head of downstream manufacturing unit, was most recently the group's chief operating officer.

"As group chief operating officer, Mohd Haris has laid the foundations for the group’s ‘OneStream’ business model. He has been a strong advocate for mechanisation, automation, and digitalisation efforts in the industry," said SD Guthrie in a statement.

Mohd Haris is the current chairman of the Board of the Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO) and also the Board of the Palm Oil Refiners Association of Malaysia (PORAM). He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC).
