GK Vest gets Golden Pharos Dungun job

PETALING JAYA: Golden Pharos Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, GP Plywood Sdn Bhd, has appointed GK Vest Sdn Bhd as the implementing partner and project operator in the development of a biochar production facility on 1.19 acres of land in Dungun, Terengganu.

GP Plywood is principally involved in the rental of buildings, plant and machinery, investment holding, trading woodchips and selling of logs.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group said the project will be based on a revenue-sharing arrangement whereby the operator will be entitled to 80% of the net project revenue, and the owner to 20%.

Shares in Golden Pharos closed at 17.5 sen a share, unchanged from the previous close. The contract is not expected to have any significant effect on the earnings, net assets per share and gearing of Golden Pharos for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2025.
