Pahang Sultan ups Citaglobal stake to 13.25% via off-market deal


KUALA LUMPUR: The Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, has increased his stake in Citaglobal Bhd to 13.25% following the off-market acquisition of 15 million shares.

According to a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the latest purchase raises his total interest in the company to 56.37 million shares, or 13.25%, up from 9.72%. The 15 million shares, representing a 3.52% stake, were acquired from TIZA Global Sdn Bhd.

With this acquisition, Al-Sultan Abdullah remains the second-largest shareholder of Citaglobal.

TIZA Global is the private vehicle of Citaglobal executive chairman and president Tan Sri Norza Zakaria.

Following the transaction, Norza remains the largest shareholder of the diversified group, holding a 29.3% stake through direct and indirect interests.
