Frontken earnings rise on AI demand


Frontken recorded a second-quarter net profit of RM33.49mil.

PETALING JAYA: Frontken Corp Bhd says in its second-quarter results filing with Bursa Malaysia that its chip business in the first half of financial year 2025 (1H25) was supported by strong demand from its customers, mainly from robust artificial intelligence or AI and high-performance computing-related demand.

In its second quarter of financial year 2025 (2Q25), Frontken recorded a net profit of RM33.49mil, which was higher than RM33.33mil in the year-ago quarter. Earnings per share in 2Q25 was 2.11 sen compared to 2.12 sen in the comparative quarter.

Revenue came in at RM156.43mil against RM134.93mil in 2Q24. For the six-month period, its net profit was up to RM64.56mil from RM63.39mil before, while revenue rose to RM288.99mil from RM275.44mil in 1H24.
