CBHE secures RM195mil data centre job

PETALING JAYA: CBH Engineering Holdings Bhd (CBHE) has, via its wholly-owned subsidiary CBH Engineering Sdn Bhd, secured a RM194.66mil contract for the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning works of an electrical supply system for a 275 kilovolts consumer substation for a proposed data centre in Selangor.

While the customer has not been named due to a non-disclosure agreement, CBHE said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia that it was principally “engaged in the development of building projects for its own operation, namely, for renting of space in these buildings”.

The contract will be effective from the date of acceptance on Aug 5, 2025 to the substantial completion date of Dec 31, 2026.

“The contract is expected to contribute positively to the future earnings, earnings per share, net assets and gearing of the company throughout the duration of the contract,” said the company.
