Arshad made MARC Ratings chief executive

PETALING JAYA: Malaysian Rating Corp Bhd (MARC) has appointed group chief executive officer (CEO) Arshad Mohamed Ismail as the CEO of MARC Ratings Bhd, the group’s credit rating subsidiary.

In a statement, MARC said the appointment will be effective from Aug 1.

To further strengthen the ratings function, deputy chief rating officer Taufiq Kamal has been appointed as a member of the Rating Committee, effective Aug 1.

“In his expanded role, he will support chief rating officer Hafiza Abdul Rashid in driving enhancements to analytical processes, governance and operational efficiency, reinforcing MARC Ratings’ commitment to quality, transparency, and market relevance.

“These appointments underscore MARC’s focus on strengthening leadership within the group,” it said.
