Boustead appoints Ahmad Sabirin as new group CEO effective Aug 1

KUALA LUMPUR: Boustead Holdings Bhd has named Datuk Ir. Ahmad Sabirin Arshad as group chief executive officer (CEO), effective Aug 1, 2025, succeeding Izaddeen Daud.

In a statement, the conglomerate said Ahmad Sabirin brings over 30 years of experience in aerospace, engineering, and technology. His appointment supports Boustead’s focus on operational efficiency, growth, and long-term resilience across its businesses.

He was most recently the president and group CEO of Sirim Bhd. Prior to that, he served as CEO of Aerospace Ventures under Uzma Bhd, and spent nearly 20 years as group managing director and CEO of Astronautic Technology (M) Sdn Bhd, a Ministry of Finance Inc. company.

A marine engineer by training, Ahmad Sabirin holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering (Combustion) from the University of Wales College of Cardiff. He also holds qualifications from Universiti Malaya, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, and the California Maritime Academy.
