KUALA LUMPUR: Boustead Holdings Bhd has named Datuk Ir. Ahmad Sabirin Arshad as group chief executive officer (CEO), effective Aug 1, 2025, succeeding Izaddeen Daud.
In a statement, the conglomerate said Ahmad Sabirin brings over 30 years of experience in aerospace, engineering, and technology. His appointment supports Boustead’s focus on operational efficiency, growth, and long-term resilience across its businesses.
He was most recently the president and group CEO of Sirim Bhd. Prior to that, he served as CEO of Aerospace Ventures under Uzma Bhd
, and spent nearly 20 years as group managing director and CEO of Astronautic Technology (M) Sdn Bhd, a Ministry of Finance Inc. company.
A marine engineer by training, Ahmad Sabirin holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering (Combustion) from the University of Wales College of Cardiff. He also holds qualifications from Universiti Malaya, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, and the California Maritime Academy.
