Ringgit firmer against US$ in early trade


KUALA LUMPUR: The ringgit edged higher against the US dollar in early trade, driven by cautious market sentiment ahead of the Aug 1 tariff deadline.

At 8.03 am, the ringgit rose to 4.2195/2375 against the greenback, compared with Tuesday’s close of 4.2300/2370.
