Sun Life Malaysia appoints Ho Teck Seng as president and country head

KUALA LUMPUR: Sun Life Malaysia has appointed Ho Teck Seng as its new president and country head, and chief executive officer of Sun Life Malaysia Assurance Bhd, effective July 1, 2025.

He succeeds Raymond Lew, who is retiring on June 30, 2025.

"With over 30 years of experience, Ho brings extensive leadership and diverse expertise from senior roles across insurance institutions.

"His background spans distribution, operations, digital transformation, client experience and financial management," the insurance and takaful provider said in a statement today.

Prior to this appointment, he served as president director of Sun Life Indonesia, where he was responsible for expanding the company’s business growth, profitability and managing overall strategy development.

Ho first joined the company in 2013 as chief operating officer before being promoted to deputy chief executive officer in 2016.

Meanwhile, Sun Life Malaysia chairman Datuk Noorazman Abd Aziz said that Ho's deep industry expertise, leadership and unwavering commitment to client experience make him the ideal leader to steer the company into its next phase of growth.

"The board is confident that Sun Life Malaysia will continue to strengthen its position as a trusted insurance and takaful partner in helping Malaysians achieve financial security and well-being under his stewardship," he said. - Bernama
