KUALA LUMPUR: Communications agency Invictus Blue has clinched the No. 2 spot on the overall leaderboard at the D-Awards 2025 by the Malaysian Digital Association, making it the highest-ranked local agency in a field largely dominated by international networks.

This marks a defining moment for the fully independent, home-grown agency powered entirely by 100% Malaysian talent, and a testament to its relentless commitment to creativity, innovation and performance.

A Malaysian media player is now closing the gap with global giants – and Invictus Blue is driving the shift.

At what is widely recognised as Malaysia’s premier digital awards, governed by high standards of transparency, governance and relevance, the agency took home 13 trophies spanning search, eCommerce, business-to-business, social, data, innovation, audio and out of home advertising.

The wins further cement Invictus Blue’s position as the country’s premier integrated media company, and a standard bearer of home-grown innovation executed to global standards.

“We’ve never seen our independence as a limitation – instead, we’ve embraced it as our greatest strength,” said Invictus Blue group chief executive officer Jo Yau.

“It’s proof that Malaysian-born talent, tech and thinking can rival the best in the world. This win is not just about trophies, it’s a validation of our belief in home-grown excellence, done right.”

“Our aim has always been clear: nurture local talent, empower them with the right tools and build campaigns that move the needle for clients,” said group strategy head Chen Shi Yen.

“We don’t just talk tech – we make it work. Every insight, every solution, every tool is custom-built with Malaysian brands and consumers in mind.”

With over 31 years of experience, Invictus Blue has long been a cornerstone of Malaysia’s media industry.

The agency’s alumni have gone on to lead many of the country’s top international agencies, making Invictus Blue not only a competitor, but a foundational contributor to Malaysia’s media and marketing landscape.
