Revised SST not for the everyday man


THE revised sales and service tax (SST), effective July 1, has faced its share of criticism but is part of the government’s broader fiscal reform measures and efforts to strengthen fiscal buffers.

The change is deemed more equitable as it primarily targets goods and services consumed by high income earners and foreign nationals.
