Pestec secures RM270mil electric double track railway job


PETALING JAYA: Pestec International Bhd has accepted a letter of award from Dhaya Maju Infrastructure (Asia) Sdn Berhad (DMIA) for works related to the electric double track railway in the Klang Valley (Phase 2), worth RM270.41mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the construction engineering firm said the contract will involve the design, construction, completion, testing, commissioning and maintenance of the works for the upgrading of infrastructure facilities for the railway project.

“The contract shall commence on acceptance of the letter of award that is May 28, 2025 and shall be completed by Jan 16, 2029.

“The contract is expected to provide additional revenue for the group in the next four years.”

Separately, Pestec announced that it had reported a net loss of RM38.32mil, on revenue of RM87.91mil for the three-month period ended March 31, 2025.

There is no comparative quarter as the company had changed its financial year-end to March 31 from Sept 30.
