Smart Asia Chemicals teams up with Keshun to develop chemicals solutions


KUALA LUMPUR: Smart Asia Chemicals has entered into a joint venture with Keshun International Construction and Trading Sdn Bhd to develop waterproofing and construction chemical solutions tailored for the Malaysian market.

Keshun is a subsidiary of Keshun Waterproof Technologies Co Ltd, a global leader in waterproofing and construction chemical solutions based in China

In a statement, the household and industrial paint manufacturer said it the joint partners will invest up to RM10mil in two joint venture companies, namely Smart CKS Manufacturing Sdn Bhd and Smart CKS Marketing Sdn Bhd.

Smart Asia Chemicals will hold a 51% stake in Smart CKS Manufacturing Sdn Bhd and 49% stake in Smart CKS Marketing Sdn Bhd, while Keshun will own the remaining shares in both companies.

"This joint venture marks a significant milestone in our journey into the waterproofing and construction chemicals market,” said Goh Chye Hin, managing director of Smart Asia Chemicals.

“By leveraging Smart Asia Chemical’s strong local expertise and Keshun’s global innovation capabilities, we are confident in delivering high-performance waterproofing solutions tailored to Malaysia’s evolving construction landscape.
