West River bags RM14mil building project


PETALING JAYA: ACE Market debutant West River Bhd has secured a contract from China Railway Engineering Corp (M) Sdn Bhd for main building works worth RM13.88mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the engineering firm said the job comprises sub-contract works for a proposed development of two blocks of 50-storey service apartments (787 units) located on PT50006 (Lot Lama Lot 3240 and Lot 260), Jalan Sungai Besi, Kuala Lumpur, for Aricia Sdn Bhd (formerly known as Fiamma Properties Sdn Bhd).

West River said the completion date of the main contract will be 36 months from commencement date.

“The sub-contract is in line with the company’s expansion of business and strategy to increase the company’s revenue,” it said. West River closed two sen, or 5.13%, to 37 sen yesterday. It was the most actively traded counter, with 65.97 million shares changing hands.
