Duopharma wins another contract from Pharmaniaga

PETALING JAYA: Duopharma Biotech Bhd has secured another government supply contract from a unit of Pharmaniaga Bhd, worth RM1.81mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Duopharma said the contract was awarded to its wholly-owned subsidiary, Duopharma Manufacturing (Bangi) Sdn Bhd, from Pharmaniaga Logistics Sdn Bhd.

This, the pharmaceutical company said, brought the total number of products supplied to the government by Duopharma to 100, with a combined value of RM684.15mil.

Duopharma said the latest contract is valid until Dec 31, 2026, or until another date as specified by the government.

For the fourth quarter ended Dec 31, 2024, Duopharma’s net profit surged more than 70% to RM15.08mil from RM8.5mil in the previous corresponding period.

Revenue rose to RM193.67mil from RM167.5mil a year earlier.

In a filing on its fourth-quarter earnings performance, the company said it remains proactively focused on enhancing operational efficiencies, optimising cost management strategies and adapting to evolving market conditions to effectively navigate rising costs.

“With a resolute focus on sustainable growth, cost optimisation and operational resilience, the group aims to deliver a satisfactory performance in 2025.

“This is barring any unforeseen market changes and developments,” the company added.
