United Plantations 1Q earnings jump

United Plantations saw its first-quarter revenue rise 8.6% to RM517.6mil.

PETALING JAYA: United Plantations Bhd expects its performance for 2025 to be “satisfactory” despite global uncertainties, as the group remains focused on operational efficiency and securing its budgeted crop.

“United Plantations remains mindful of the challenges that may arise in the remaining part of the year.

“However, based on the performance to date, a stable labour situation and the company’s strong commitment to securing its budgeted crop, we expect the results for 2025 to be satisfactory,” it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

During the first quarter ended March 31, 2025 (1Q25), United Plantations saw its revenue rise 8.6% to RM517.6mil from RM476.7mil in 1Q24, driven by higher contributions from both its plantation and refinery segments. Net profit jumped 22.9% to RM163.3mil, up from RM132.9mil a year ago.
