HR Owen to add another supercar brand to list

HR Owen said the partnership combines its nine-decade experience in luxury car sales with Zenvo’s cutting-edge engineering.

PETALING JAYA: HR Owen plc, the luxury car dealer controlled by Berjaya Corp Bhd founder Tan Sri Vincent Tan, has become the sole British dealer partner for Danish hypercar manufacturer Zenvo Automotive.

In a statement, HR Owen said the partnership combines its nine-decade experience in luxury car sales with Zenvo’s cutting-edge engineering.

HR Owen said that while Zenvo will have “no permanent physical home”, its facility in Hatfield, England, which also represents Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati and Bentley, will be used to display Zenvo’s hypercars, including the upcoming Aurora.

HR Owen chief executive officer Ken Choo said the company’s approach, guided by its founder, Tan, is to work with brands that aim to redefine luxury and performance.

“At HR Owen, it’s the vision of Tan that we continually align ourselves with brands that push the boundaries of luxury and performance,” Choo said.

HR Owen is a luxury automotive dealer group, with 17 dealerships across Britain.

The group represents a range of elite brands, including Aston Martin, Bentley, Bugatti, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lotus, Maserati and now, Zenvo.

Zenvo chairman and chief commercial officer Jens Sverdrup said HR Owen’s reputation and customer base made it a natural partner for Zenvo in Britain.

“With production of the Aurora commencing this year, we couldn’t have chosen a better time or partner to strengthen our presence in the British market,” he added.

Founded in 2007, Zenvo is headquartered on the island of Zealand, in Denmark.
