PETALING JAYA: Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB), via its wholly owned subsidiary TNB Repair and Maintenance Sdn Bhd, has secured a RM705mil contract from the Kuwait Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy for maintenance works at the Sabiya Power Generation and Water Distillation Plant in Kuwait.

Located 65km from Kuwait city, TNB said in a statement that the plant has a total generation capacity of 299.4 megawatt across four oil and gas-powered units, playing a crucial role in Kuwait’s energy infrastructure.

“Beyond Kuwait, our global footprint extends to the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, Turkiye, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Cambodia.

He further emphasised TNB’s commitment to supporting Kuwait’s energy sector while expanding its international portfolio.”
