Pernas picks Nor Azam as new CEO


KUALA LUMPUR: Perbadanan Nasional Bhd (Pernas) has appointed Datuk Nor Azam M. Taib as its new chief executive officer (CEO) effective yesterday.

In a statement, Pernas said Nor Azam’s appointment marked the beginning of a new chapter for the company, with his extensive experience and expertise expected to strengthen Pernas’ position and elevate its achievements.

Nor Azam has more than 26 years of experience in the banking and finance sector.

“He had previously served at Malaysia Building Society Bhd, where he held several key positions, including chief business officer, deputy CEO and CEO until June 2024,” the statement said.

Nor Azam had also held roles at several banks including Citibank and Hong Leong Bank Bhd. — Bernama
