Calls to develop halal product ecosystem

HANOI: To tap into the growing halal market, Vietnam must develop an halal product ecosystem that meets international quality and certification standards, say experts.

Ramlan Osman, director of the National Halal Certification Centre that falls under the Science and Technology Ministry, said that Vietnam has an opportunity to tap into the global halal market, which is valued at around US$3 trillion.
