AmBank CFO Shafiq Abdul Jabbar to step down on July 1


KUALA LUMPUR: AMMB Holdings Bhd (AmBank) group chief financial officer (CFO) Shafiq Abdul Jabbar will step down on July 1 to “pursue other professional opportunities”.

AmBank, in a filing with Bursa Malaysia, said Shafiq will be on garden leave from April 10, 2025.

“The search for a new group CFO is currently underway and an announcement will be made in due course in respect thereof.

“In the interim, Mr Ling Fou-Tsong @ Jamie Ling, the group chief executive officer will oversee the group finance function,” it said.

AmBank closed 4.9% lower, down 26 sen to RM5.05.
