Khee San announces temporary operational adjustments due to gas supply disruption

PETALING JAYA: Khee San Bhd has announced that its manufacturing facilities have been affected by the resulting gas supply disruption, following the gas pipeline incident at Putra Heights on April 1.

However, the company said it does not anticipate any material impact on its overall operations or financial performance.

In a statement, Khee San said it had received official notification from Gas Malaysia Energy and Services Sdn Bhd that the resumption of gas supply to affected areas, including its manufacturing facilities, is expected to be extended until April 20.

“We have implemented contingency measures to maintain critical operations and our current inventories are sufficient to meet demand until April 20.

“Our management team at Khee San Food Industries Sdn Bhd is actively working to manage disruptions to our supply chain and customer deliveries during this period.”

Executive chairman Yong Loong Chen said Khee San has implemented its business continuity plan and is exploring alternative solutions to fulfil its commitments.
