Oxford Innotech secures RM8.8mil semiconductor orders

PETALING JAYA: Oxford Innotech Bhd (OXB) has secured purchase orders worth a combined RM8.8 million to supply precision engineering components for mass flow controllers used in the semiconductor industry.

In a statement, the integrated engineering solutions provider said the orders were awarded to its wholly owned subsidiary, CG Solutions Enterprise Sdn Bhd, by a United States-based mass flow controller manufacturer with a production facility in Malaysia.

The customer's identity was not disclosed due to confidentiality requirements.

The orders comprise three purchase orders, including a RM5.6mil contract received on July 30 and two orders worth a combined RM3.2mil secured in June.

OXB said the orders are expected to contribute positively to earnings over the next 12 months.

Managing director Ng Thean Gin said the contracts came after about a year of working with the customer to obtain first article approvals.

"We are pleased to have secured three purchase orders from this customer within a span of two months, bringing the aggregate order value to RM8.8mil.

“We look forward to receiving more orders from this customer and to strengthening our business relationship in the years ahead. At the same time, the group continues to ramp up mass production to fulfil the growing order backlog, primarily from customers in the semiconductor and data centre sectors.

“Beyond this, we remain in active discussions with key customers, with early indications pointing towards robust order visibility through the first half of 2027,” he said.

Separately, OXB is expanding its Penang Science Park Factory 2, with Phase 2 scheduled for completion in the second half of 2027.

The expansion will increase its manufacturing floor space by 50.2% to 202,696 sq ft.
