Kuala Lumpur: MAYBANK Islamic Bhd’s Zest-i Account continues to redefine rewarding banking experiences, offering its loyal customers a chance to win from an impressive RM5mil prize pool.

The much-anticipated prize-giving ceremony, held recently at Glasshouse at Seputeh, celebrated the grand prize winners of FY2024 while setting the stage for an even more exhilarating lineup in FY2025.

Since its launch in 2019, Zest-i has been a trailblazer within the Maybank Group, introducing a unique, permanent prize draw feature that keeps customers engaged with year-round rewards.

With over 724,000 accounts registered as of December 2024, it remains a top choice for Malaysians looking to grow their savings while enjoying exciting incentives.

Customer-inspired

Maybank Islamic chief executive officer, Datuk Muzaffar Hisham, emphasised the bank’s commitment to customer-centricity, revealing that this year’s grand prizes were selected based on extensive customer surveys.

“At Maybank Islamic, we believe in putting our customers at the heart of everything we do.

“The results of the survey shaped our selection, ensuring that our customers have the chance to win rewards that genuinely matter to them.

“Above all, we want their banking experience with us to be both meaningful and rewarding,” he added.

Among the most desired rewards were property, electric vehicles (EVs), and cash prizes. This insight influenced the FY2025 lineup, which will see the RM1mil cash prize retained, along with an upscale property in Kuala Lumpur and a sleek BYD Seal EV as additional grand prizes.

Celebrating winners

The highlight of the event was the recognition of the lucky winners who walked away with life-changing rewards.

Melaka-born Shamuddin Abdul Aziz emerged as the biggest winner, taking home RM1mil in cash.

Meanwhile, Aidiel Syafiq Daud from Kelantan was awarded 1kg of gold through Maybank Islamic Gold Account-i (MIGA-i), valued at nearly RM400,000.

Quarterly prize winner Lee Kah Yan from Perak drove away in a brand-new Proton X70, while Sabahan Andy Alinus, who was the monthly winner, celebrated his victory with a Perodua Ativa.

These winners are just a few of the many customers who have benefitted from Zest-i’s rewarding structure, which continues to attract interest from banking customers nationwide.

Bigger and better prizes

Maybank Islamic’s prize structure extends beyond the grand annual rewards.

]The monthly draw will continue to offer generous prizes, including RM50,000 in cash, 14 units of the latest iPhone 16 Pro, 14 cash prizes of RM1,000 each, and 30 cash prizes of RM500 each.

For the quarterly draw, customers stand a chance to win a brand-new Honda City Hatchback RS, alongside RM15,000 in cash, 14 cash prizes of RM5,000 each, 30 units of 5g gold via MIGA-i, and 30 additional RM1,000 cash prizes.

Invest, win, celebrate

Zest-i Account offers a fully digital banking experience, allowing customers to participate in the prize draws without the need for branch or ATM visits.

With a minimum investment of just RM200, customers can secure entries for multiple prize categories, with higher investments increasing their chances of winning.

Malaysians aged 18 and above can join the growing community of Zest-i customers and look forward to a year of exciting prizes ahead.
