Marine & General unit secures contracts to supply vessels worth RM300mil


KUALA LUMPUR: Marine & General Bhd’s (M&G) subsidiary Jasa Merin (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd received letters of award from Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd, ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Malaysia Inc, and Vestigo Petroleum Sdn Bhd worth RM300 million.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group said the contracts were for the provision of six straight supply vessels and three anchor-handling tug supply vessels for a firm period of three years.

"The charterers have an option to extend their respective contract for a period of up to another three years. The contracts are expected to commence by end-February 2025,” it added.

The group said the contracts are expected to contribute positively to its earnings for the financial period ending April 30, 2025.

M&G’s share price was flat at 30.5 sen at the close today. - Bernama
