Perodua doubles 2025 capex to RM1.6bil

PETALING JAYA: Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sdn Bhd (Perodua) has doubled its yearly capital expenditure (capex) to RM1.6bil for 2025 as it plans to make plant improvement, increase stamping capacity, new model development and tooling.

The higher capex was necessary as the automaker aims to grow its manufacturing capabilities and launch of new models this year.
