Carsome and JACCS to offer auto financing


JACCS and Carsome Capital will be partnering to offer tailored financing in Malaysia.

PETALING JAYA: Carsome Group Inc had entered into a strategic partnership with Japan-based consumer finance firm, Japan Consumer Credit Serve Co Ltd (JACCS), as a move to introduce auto financing solutions in Malaysia.

As part of the agreement, JACCS will invest and own a 49% stake in Carsome’s financing arm, Carsome Capital Sdn Bhd, while Carsome will continue to hold the majority 51% stake.

With a particular focus on underserved segments, JACCS and Carsome Capital will be partnering to offer tailored financing in Malaysia, leveraging on JACCS’ global expertise and Carsome Capital’s ecosystem and local know-how.

In a statement, Carsome said the partnership would also facilitate knowledge transfer to optimise risk assessments, enhance credit governance, and implement best practices to strengthen financial sustainability and portfolio performance.
